Roles:
Sunlight Group Benefits Solutions that operate in a group insurance and employee benefits advisory role to plan sponsors, Provide traditional brokerage services, the day-to-day management of the employee benefits plan, as well as special projects that plan sponsors seek such as:

Existing Employee Benefit Programs

- Review benefit goals & objectives to ensure they match the corporate philosophy
- Develop plan design options by understanding of your business and benchmark with industry norms
- Explore alternate funding methods that meet overall corporate objectives and risk tolerance
- Plan utilization annual renewal review of claims history and trends along with premium negotiations
- Provide an in-depth Market Analysis of your current Employee Benefit requirements and make recommendations.
- Consult on Tax Effective employee benefit programs that can be placed in lieu of a pay increase.
- Employee communication and employee benefit value added statements itemizing the real costs for an employee

Program Management

- Assist your group administrator in the day-to-day workings of the benefit program
- Assist your group administrator in utilizing administration software provided by the insurance/TPA carrier, if applicable
- Provide help in any claim problems which may arise
- Provide agreed upon periodical review of the benefits program with company officials and group administrator
- Provide and explain on information regarding changes in the marketplace
- Review and analysis of claims experience information, trends and demographic adjustments provided by your insurance
carrier
- Ensure that the current insurance carrier remains competitive
- Evaluate the marketplace to ensure that the current pricing is competitive
- Update /communicate tax changes or other government changes that affect your Plan
- Helping to avoid any duplication of coverage with respect to government changes or programs, i.e. Workers Compensation, - Employment Insurance, Pharma care and Canada Pension Plan

Employee Communication


- Educate employees on the group benefit plan offered through their employer as it pertains to protecting the employee and their dependents from the Financial Risk of a Death, Disability, Critical Illness, Health & Dental expenses and Retirement
Funding
- Conduct enrolment meetings and financial seminars
- Design announcement memos and benefit detail summaries
- Educate employees about the benefit program and the costs
